The Coastal Zen Shack is a cozy, one-bedroom, granny flat designed to sit lightly on a gently sloping site. Its inclined wall and subtly tilted roof reference the existing A-frame dwelling on the property, forming a quiet architectural dialogue between new and old.

Internally, the plan is deliberately open, with the kitchen, living, dining, and study arranged across subtle split levels. This sectional variation expands the perceived volume of the space, creating a sense of generosity within a modest footprint. A small fireplace provides warmth in winter, while operable windows on all sides enable cross-ventilation and natural cooling, ensuring year-round thermal comfort.
